Sibutramine hydrochloride (Sibutramine HCl) was previously used for the management of obesity. It worked as an appetite suppressant and weight loss aid by affecting certain neurotransmitters in the brain, specifically by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Its primary use was to help individuals lose weight and control their appetite.

MEDICAL USE:

Indicated for the management of obesity, including weight loss and maintenance of weight loss, and should be used in conjunction with a reduced calorie diet.
